Bridge to PhD Scholar

Biography

Donya Moghaddari is a Bridge to PhD scholar from Columbia’s School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. She is originally from the metro Atlanta area in Georgia and graduated with honors in Biological Sciences from Georgia State University, with a concentration in quality assurance for the life sciences industry. She has conducted wet lab research in molecular parasitology, examining cell death pathways and co-authoring a study on starvation stress in C. fasciculata. Currently, Donya joined the Building Energy Research Lab to focus on how social and building characteristics, combined with the time series dynamics of human activities, energy consumption, and environmental conditions, shape building and community decarbonization plans.
