Ryan has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. While there he performed research on energy and power modeling and optimization for utility-scale solar generation. At the BERL lab, he will be transferring that experience into building energy modeling and optimization. He enjoys mountain biking, skiing, surfing, and generally being outdoors.
